FGA International Industry & Digital Academy (FIIDA) conducted an official visit and strategic engagement session with Pejabat Pembangunan Persekutuan Negeri Terengganu, Unit Penyelarasan Pelaksanaan Jabatan Perdana Menteri (ICU JPM Terengganu), on 13 July 2026.
The meeting provided an important platform for both organisations to explore potential collaboration in implementing skills development, entrepreneurship, digital income, employability and community income enhancement programmes across Terengganu.
During the session, FIIDA presented a proposed outcome-based collaboration framework designed to connect training with tangible results, including employment, entrepreneurship, income generation and sustainable community development.
Strengthening Community Development Through Practical Intervention
The proposed collaboration focuses on delivering high-impact initiatives tailored to the needs of communities and industries in Terengganu.

Supporting Priority Communities
The proposed programmes are intended to support groups that require structured and accessible development opportunities, including eKasih participants, B40 households, youth, women, single mothers, low-income families and rural communities.
Each programme would be designed around the specific needs of its target group. These may include practical skills training, employment preparation, home-based income opportunities, digital sales, micro-business management, financial literacy and access to industry or community service opportunities.
Through targeted intervention, participants can receive clearer pathways towards employment, entrepreneurship and long-term income generation.
Proposed High-Impact Programmes
FIIDA presented five proposed programme areas that may be developed in collaboration with ICU JPM Terengganu:
Skills-to-Income Programme
A practical training programme that equips participants with market-relevant skills in areas such as digital marketing, content creation, e-commerce, community services and light technical services.
The programme aims to help participants generate income through self-employment, freelancing or service-based activities.
Job-Ready Programme
A comprehensive employment preparation programme covering communication skills, résumé development, interview coaching, career profiling and job placement support.
The programme is intended to strengthen participants’ confidence, employability and readiness to enter the workforce.
Women and Household Income Empowerment
A programme designed to help women and B40 households develop additional sources of income through micro-entrepreneurship, financial management, digital marketing, product packaging and home-based business activities.
Technical Foundation Programme
An introductory technical and safety programme covering areas such as electrical basics, welding, mechanical fundamentals and health, safety and environmental awareness.
The programme would support the development of entry-level talents for industries operating across the East Coast region.
Digital Community Entrepreneur Programme
A digital entrepreneurship initiative focusing on e-commerce, digital marketing, live selling and social media management.
The programme aims to help community entrepreneurs establish an online presence, reach wider markets and build more sustainable businesses.
An Outcome-Based Implementation Model
FIIDA proposed serving as an implementation partner responsible for programme design, training delivery, participant mentoring, operational management and performance reporting.
The proposed implementation model would bring together the strengths of ICU JPM Terengganu, FIIDA and relevant industry or agency partners.
ICU JPM Terengganu could provide strategic coordination, inter-agency alignment and programme oversight, while industry partners may contribute employment opportunities, technical expertise, facilities, certification and mentorship.

Participants would be supported beyond the training stage through coaching, practical application, entrepreneurship development, career matching and follow-up monitoring.
Measuring Meaningful Impact
A key component of the discussion was the importance of measuring programme effectiveness through clear indicators and reliable data.
Potential indicators include programme completion rates, interview or employment placement, income-generating activities, active micro-businesses, digital adoption and the completion of post-programme impact reports.
Continuous monitoring would help both organisations evaluate results, identify areas for improvement and ensure that future programmes remain relevant, inclusive and sustainable.

The visit represents a positive step towards building a structured partnership between FIIDA and ICU JPM Terengganu.
Potential next steps include identifying priority programmes, selecting suitable pilot communities, establishing an implementation framework, coordinating with relevant agencies and industry partners, and developing a long-term programme monitoring system.
